Kivy is a GUI interface handler

It takes care of many things allowing powerful programs to be created.

You can learn about it here.

When Kivy works, it works great. When it doesn't it's maddening.

There are know issues where a card is capable of Open GL2 but kKvy reports it will not meet that requirement and shuts down.

This has been seen on Windows and Linux.

Many of the system that are having issues seem to have video cards from 2008 - 2011.

There have been issues seen with Ubuntu 17 and Debian 9.
